Astrology and Astrologers have existed since the dawn of human civilization. With empirical correlations, Astrology has enjoyed more than its share of importance among masses.
As a subject of interest, Astrology does have a large number of time tested planetary positions and combinations which clearly shows the effect of planets on human life as a whole. However, Astrology has failed statistically in few attempts made by Scientists for want of proper astrological criteria and methodology, which the astrologers themselves failed to provide. Even astrologers over stretch these time tested rules besides mixing astrological and non-astrological components indiscriminately, leading to loss of credibility for Astrology.
Scientists, on the other hand, do not consider Astrology as Science, mainly because of its empiricality. It is true that in most cases, the tirade against astrology is carried out people who have not studied or tried to understand or who cannot accept the astrological implications. Since Gravity cannot explain Astrology, scientists do not even want to consider anything connected with Astrology.
It is also true that with all the Scientific knowledge, ranging from Unified Field Theory to Gravity waves, scientists and their contemporary Physics cannot explain Astrology. Till date, except for the attempt by Prof. Percy Seymour, no attempts were made by Scientists or Astrologers, to bring out the deep impacting science Astrology represents. Of course, in the last six centuries, our understanding of the world and universe has changed considerably. However, the scientific basis of Astrology is still a far reaching possibility for both astrologers and scientists alike.
This book attempts to highlight the scientific aspects of Astrology and its scientific implications, besides exposing the over-stretched practices of Astrology, its procedures and methods. An attempt has been made by the authors to explore certain fascinating scientific probabilities to explain Astrology. This journey explores Quantum Mechanical aspects of Quantum Entanglement and Quantum Gravity, General and Special Theory of Relativity of Einstein in relation to Space-Time distortion and Time-Lag of Planetary influence, String-Super-String-Brane-M Theories, Dark Energy and Lensing Effects of Planets, as possible routes to understand the influence of planets on the genetic materials of human beings.
This book, further highlights the role of two other important factors, namely, Genetic Make-up of the individual and Environment in which the individual grows, in super-imposing the effect of Planets at birth for making an accurate prediction.
The unique placement of Moon in almost a circular orbit around the Earth in terms of its probable ‘Lensing Effect’ is highlighted. Astrological criteria to promote and sustain Life on Exo-Planets, is explained in a chapter. The final chapter deals with irrational practices and mis-concepts existing in astrological practices and the dire need to get rid of such practices to enhance the acceptability and credibility of Astrology.
This book deals with mostly Naadi System of Prediction in relating Astrology to Science. The Naadi system is an ancient system of prediction which is known for its accuracy than even other Indian systems like Parasari system and Jaimini (Other Indian Systems). This system is more than 2000 years old. The rules are written in palm leaves and has been maintained as close guarded secret by different Schools of Astrology and there are quite a few of them.
The present book is inended to influence both Scientists and Astrologers to redefine their opinion on Astrology and take up a well defined scientific study. Astrology portends an enormous necessity and implications to human way of living, not only on this planet but also on others, when human beings colonise them, in future.
